![]() I would be very happy to replay original content with new models and textures. Good they did not go JRPG way, that would had been even worse. Head is too big though I agree on that, but it should be easy to scale down. But the face is good, makes NPC look like a human and not like a doll. Haha, well, I actually like the new art style, except not that much of the WoW cartoony degree. In the end if this update does update all the models, Beamdog would be wise to have an option to check HD models or old school models so that way they would be able to make all players happy for those that like the new looks and those that want the original looks. Other then those 2 models and the HD weapons none of the screenshots they have show have had any other updated models though so if this new renderer doesn't update the rest of the models then people will also question why it took so long to release this change as well. Part of the problem was Beamdog releasing those 2 new character models in the first place as many probably now expect the whole base game to be updated in a similar fashion with this long awaited renderer update even if some may not be a fan with the change in style. I guess it'll look more like a 10 year old game than a 20 year old game but it's also not a look that will work well with the soundtrack or the themes in the campaigns or popular mods. ![]() Her belts and spiky shoulderplates got enlarged to Warcraft size and her face got stretched out to Buzz Lightyear proportions. ![]() The new D&D art direction in games like Neverwinter and Warriors of Waterdeep his this childish and cartoony look with oversaturated colors and exaggerated proportions.
